Maple
Maple is a close grained hardwood that is off white in color and may have light brown and pink hues. Maple may contain small mineral veining, light tan or reddish streaks that will darken stain.

Cherry
Cherry is a warm, multicolored hardwood of clear and heartwood. Small pin knots, streaks and gum pockets are common. Cherry wood will darken with age, which gives the species a warm patina.

Clear and Knotty Alder
Clear Alder is a light hardwood with no knots having a grain pattern similar to Cherry. Knotty Alder will have a variety of knots ranging from tight to open.

Qtr Sawn & Rift Cut White Oak
White Oak is generally light in color and the heartwood varies between light and dark brown. The grain is mainly straight with medium to coarse texture. Quarter Sawn shows the most figure to growth rings at a 30 to 60 degree angle.

Walnut
Walnut is a very warm species with colors that vary from light to dark chocolate brown with an occasional purplish cast and darker streaks. The wood develops a rich patina that grows more lustrous with age.
